Shanpoietin (recombinant human erythropoietin) is a glycoprotein
produced in mammalian cells by inserting the gene coding
for human erythropoietin. Erythropoietin is used in the
treatment of anemia. Treatment with Erythropoietin results
in improvement in hemoglobin levels thereby improving the
quality of life in patients with chronic renal failure,
cancer patients on chemotherapy, surgery patients and patients
with HIV related anemia |
